
Here is my recipe for making cinnamon and caramel rolls. They are so yummy and a wonderful treat or gift.

Cinnamon Roll Recipe
2 cups warm water
2 Tbsp yeast
1/4 cup sugar
Mix and cover bowl with towel so yeast can active.
1 Tsp salt
3 Tbsp oil
Mix into yeast mixture
6 cups flour
Add 4 cups stirring after each cup. slowly add next 2 cups kneading as you go. Cover until double in size. Punch down, knead again for 5-10 minutes so dough becomes elastic. Divide in half and roll out each half, one at a time.
Brush on melted butter, sprinkle sugar, brown sugar and organic cinnamon onto dough. Roll dough up and slice into 5-6 sections. Place in pan that has been sprayed with oil, cover and let double in size again.
Make at 350 degrees for 20-22 minutes.
Cool before frosting.
Frosting:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup Crisco
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
Blend well sugar, Crisco and milk. When well mixed add vanilla and almond extract. Frost cinnamon rolls when cooled
Caramel Rolls
Same recipe as cinnamon rolls
Caramel Sauce
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
In sauce pan bring to a gentle boil, cook 2 minutes, add 1 tsp vanilla, stir.
When caramel rolls are cool flip upside down, spoon on caramel sauce.
